Day 1 Arrival Bengaluru
Upon arrival at Bangalore, meet and assistance by our office representative, followed by transfer to Your hotel. Post Lunch explore this city starting with the visit of the elegant Tipu Sultan’s Palace – a fine specimen of military architecture from 18th century, notable for its teak pillars and ornamental frescoes. Continue to the Dravidian-style Bull Temple built in the 16th-century, and pass by the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, the Cubbon Park, a sprawling 120-hectare garden, surrounded by wonderful colonial architecture, including the red-painted Gothic-style State Central Library and the colossal neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha and neoclassical Attara Kacheri built in 1864 and houses the High Court. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Bengaluru – Mysuru (170 km / 4hrs)
Breakfast, check out and drive south to Mysore. En-route stop at Srirangapatna (16km from Mysore) – the island fortress of Tipu Sultan and the early capital of the Mysore Wodiyars – Here you will find monuments such as Tipu’s mosque with its twin minarets built in 1787, Tipu’s Summer Palace (known as the Daria Daulat Bagh) built completely on wood and converted into a museum that houses some fantastic artefacts and paintings related to Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan, and the Gumbaz where lie buried Tipu Sultan, Haider Ali and others of the royal family. Proceed on to Mysore and check-in at your hotel. Back to hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 3 Mysuru
Breakfast at the hotel. OPTIONAL: Explore Mysore through an early morning Heritage walking tour and get a feel of this charming city. Pass by some lovely colonial structures, old local monuments and temples and learn the stories behind them with your storyteller. End your tour with a good local cuppa, South Indian filter coffee before heading back to your hotel. Later the day proceed on a sightseeing tour visiting the Maharajah’s Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings in India. Inside, you will find a kaleidoscope of stained glass, beautiful carved wooden doors and mosaic floors. Continue towards the colourful Devarajan Market, Followed by a Visit to the Chamundi Hills. Named after the goddess Chamundi, The Chamundeswari Temple sits atop the main hill. Approximately halfway to the summit is statue of bull Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva which is 4.9 m tall and 7.6 m long and carved out of a single piece of black granite. Around this point, the steps become significantly less steep and eventually the climber is rewarded with a panoramic view of the city. Back to Hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 4 Mysuru – Ooty (140 kms/3 ½ hrs)
After Breakfast Take Beautiful drive through the wild life parks en route to Ooty- The queen of the Nilgiris. Picturesque, green Ooty is the most popular hill station in South India. Located in the Western Ghats at an altitude of 2240 m, Udhagamandalam is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district where the two Ghats ranges meet. Apart from Coffee and Tea plantations, trees like conifers, eucalyptus, pines and wattles dot its hillsides. Check in at your hotel on arrival. Enjoy the cool weather. Later the day visit the Botanical Gardens. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 5 Ooty-Coonoor-Ooty by Toy Train
Morning post breakfast proceed to take the Toy Train from Ooty to Coonoor.( ETD: 09:15 am ETA 10:25) The Nilgiri Mountain Railway, built by the British in 1908, in July 2005, UNESCO added the Nilgiri Mountain Railway as an extension to the World Heritage Site of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. On arrival in Coonoor proceed for the sightseeing – Lamb’s Rock, view point of the surroundings Tea and Coffee plantations then heads up to another viewpoint. Back to the hotel. Rest of the Day Free. Day 6 Ooty – Bengaluru (280 kms / 6 ½ Hrs)
After Breakfast Drive back to Bangalore. On arrival Check in at the hotel. Free time or Early Evening Visit Lalbagh. Lalbagh Botanical Garden, is an old botanical garden in Bengaluru, India. First planned and laid out during the dynasty of Hyder Ali and later adorned with unique plant species by his son Tipu Sultan. go on a stroll to Experience this cosmopolitan city with its lovely parks, long avenues of blossom trees and impressive Victorian-era architecture. Overnight stay.
Day 7 Bengaluru Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Airport for homebound Flight.
