Day 01: Cochin to Munnar (140 Kms /4 hrs )
Arrive at Cochin Airport. Meet with our Driver; Drive to Munnar –a breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft. in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. On arrival check into your hotel. Enjoy a stroll through the Munnar town – Unending expanse of tea plantations – pristine valleys and mountains – exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests – aroma of spice scented cool air. Visit Mattupetty Lake and Dam.Back to hotel for Overnight stay.
Day 02: Munnar
After breakfast Proceed on a tour visiting Eravikulam park. The park has the largest known population of Tahrs existing in the world. The park also shelters Atlas Moth, Elephants, Sambhars, Gaurs, Lion-tailed Macaque and Nilgiri Langur. Later visit Tea museum The Tata Tea Museum diligently portrays the growth of Munnar tea estates, veritably conveyed through some of the displays like the rudimentary tea roller to the modern fully automated tea factory. Overnight stay.
Day 03: Munnar to Kumarakom (160 kms / 5 hrs)
Drive to Kumarkom after the breakfast at hotel. Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres is a favourite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist’s paradise. On arrival, check-into your hotel. Rest of the day free. Indulge in the resort activities – country canoe rides, sunset cruises. Dinner & Overnight stay.
Day 04: Kumarakom
Breakfast. Leisurely Morning at the hotel. OR enjoy a Shikara ride through the backwaters – one of the best ways to watch the backwater life at close quarters. Afternoon Free at the Resort; Go on a village walk or Enjoy the resort facilities. A rejuvenating Ayurvedic Massage will be a healthy Experience. (payable locally) Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 05: Departure Cochin Airport (120 kms/2 ½ hrs)
Check out after breakfast and transfer to airport to Cochin International airport to connect your onward flight back home.
